Each year at 立博客户端app下载, we look forward to highlighting some of the top Jewish Community Center websites. These best websites really raise the bar on design, navigation, functionality, and user experience. Let's take a look at what makes these sites the best of the best!
Table of contents:
Barshop of San Antonio JCC does a great job of keeping members in mind with this website from design to navigation and functionality. With colorful call-to-action buttons on the homepage slider, users can easily find newsworthy information such as membership specials, Covid-19 policies, summer camp, and other upcoming events.
The Tennis Reservations is one of our favorite pages on the site. This page really focuses on a great user experience allowing visitors to search for available time slots by day or month, and the time blocks are beautifully color-coordinated.
This JCC features their programs front and center in a grid format on the homepage allowing members to quickly find programs by class formats, age group, or activity. You can also visit the event detail page to register for the program and add to your calendar by clicking on an image from the grid.
Martin Pear JCC uses a mega menu navigation. This option allows the JCC to easily display a large number of navigation options, and they can customize their menu at any time by swapping out new images or by showcasing special programs with the dropdown layout
JCC of Greater Baltimore’s website uses a top design trend with lots of clean white space. On the interior pages of the site, you will find images and text left and right justified in grid formats with call-to-action buttons. This allows the J to share a variety of information while keeping design and user experience top of mind.
JCC of Greater Baltimore has a Virtual J category in their main navigation menu with access to a members-only portal for virtual programs including sports & wellness, arts & culture, Jewish experiences, and youth & families. This J has been curating online content for over a year for members to access via live-stream or on-demand.
JCC of Central NJ uses a hamburger menu to display all of their navigation items, which stands out from using a traditional menu. The JCC also displays their utility menu in a grid box with colorful text and icons.
The interior pages on this site are designed with 立博客户端app下载 Freedom’s Components feature, which allows the JCC of Central NJ staff to easily add pages, update content, and images whenever they need to.
This JCC website is designed with bright and vibrant colors, which is a perfect reflection of the Orange County region. All across the homepage, you can find geometric design elements, unique typography, and color-filtering overlaid images.
The Experience the J landing page allows members to search for events, programs, and activities by class format so, for example, either onsite, online, or on-demand. They can also narrow down their search by activity, age, and date. There is also a search bar for users to access the information they are searching for even faster. Each event has detailed information about the program and an easy-to-register link.
Shalom Austin has a very warm and welcoming homepage. The homepage hero image has a branded color overlay with bold typography and rotating messages, and a call-to-action button across the images.
The Community Events Calendar is very user-friendly. Visitors can search by month, keywords, or view by calendar. Once an event is clicked on, the event detail page makes it easy for visitors to register and save the event onto their Google or iCal. There are also related events at the footer of the page, encouraging people to learn more about other upcoming programs.
Arts and culture events are a huge focal point for JCCs. Kansas City especially has a wide variety of events, from films to Broadway shows, concerts to stage acting classes, and so much more. We really like the Arts & Culture Events page that showcases each category in a grid format. When visitors click on a category, they’re taken to another landing page with upcoming event information.
Events and programs are at the core of each JCC’s mission. The J KC has a very interactive Group Fitness Schedule calendar that is color-coded by category. Visitors can filter by category or view the program lineup by the week.
The homepage of the New Orleans JCC site is very interactive and displays events and programs front and center for members and future constituents to easily access. The grid layout hero down the homepage displays images in black and white than in color when users hover over it.
On the interior pages of the site, you will find a colored navigation lister for top viewed pages and upcoming events on the lefthand side of the page. Content on these interior pages is also displayed in drop-down drawers.
The Channel J landing page is a virtual space created for the JCC Chicago community to keep their members connected. This J updates these channels daily with creative content for children, adults, seniors, teens, and families.
The homepage hero graphic image is bright, colorful, and animated. This is a great way to promote an upcoming event or program to grab site visitor’s attention.
The JCC Rochester website makes great use of white space across the pages of the site and brings front and center important information on the homepage, such as J News, programs offered, and class schedules.
The Fitness Class landing page features a weekly calendar of programs where members can view daily events and easily register for on-campus or online classes.
